May or May not have...

Funny story,
Christopher may or may not take backroads to save up on miles.
And the other day Christopher may
or may not have gone through a giant mud pile.
Needless to say, Christopher may or may
not have to wash his truck today...

All this, and the funniest dog story I've heard in a long time...

We went to go visit a referal from one of the members in our branch, it was
great! We set a date with him and everything. But, as we were going out to the
car a huge golden retriever started after us. It was BIG, but also very
friendly. It just wanted attention (think of midnight when she was a puppy but
on a stimulant) Anyway, she kept wanting us to pet her, so we played for like
two seconds. We then had a dinner appointment so we hopped in the truck. The
dog didn't want us to leave so she hopped up on me before I could shut the door.
THis presented a problem. She kept licking and snuggling next to me. And we
had to leave pronto. I tried pulling forward, but the dog stayed. So, Elder
hillary got out of the truck and called the dog. I shut the door, but then the
dog came and jumped on elder hillary. This happened a couple times. So then
Elder hillary jumped on the bed of the truck and was petting the dog, I would
then drive at full speed away from the dog, Elder Hillary would then jump out
and run for the door before the Golden Retriever could make it. It worked the
second time!! Haha but by the time we got to dinner we were covered with hair
:)

The Big Day

Well, the day finally arrived. I'll post some pictures as I receive them, but for now, here are a few.
Shannon (Marvin's Wife) did a beautiful job with the flowers. Beautiful is to small a word to describe the artistry which she shared in arranging all the floral work for Roxanne and Larry's wedding. To watch her attend to every small detail on every boutonnière and corsage was incredible. Then, to watch her wave her hands to extra roses and do things such as the following… a throw of roses on the entrance gate to the reception patio.

Once the evening began, there was a brief ring ceremony. Roxanne had composed a special song for Larry, and performed it for him during the ceremony. What a beautiful voice. What a beautiful bride…
Then, time for the reception. The colors, the home, the yard, the lanterns, the luminaries, the cake, the people, and…the band! Everything was magical. And then, as the sun set, and the yard lit up, no one wanted to leave. There was "atmosphere". Who knew it would come together so well.

Roxanne and Larry graciously greeted all that chose to come through the line. I watched as each person was warmly embraced.
The time flew by, and by the look on the faces of all involved, memories for a lifetime were made that night…

hopefully more to come…

House Painting

Okay, so we actually, after a long, long time of scraping, have begun to paint the house. Realizing the scope of the project, we have broken it down into smaller... (hum, there must be a better word,) section. We decided to finish the front, then move to other sides to paint. So, for all those that have been asking, "what color are you going to paint it?".... Here it is in pictures...

Will this old piece of wood hold us?
Brotherly love...
and Karen says, "I love it!"
